This project relates the history of Jackson Hole Preserve, describing the Rockefeller family's interest in preserving and protecting the area and problems encountered in acquiring the land which was eventually added to the National Park System. Included are memoirs of people who knew Jackson Hole as their home and who have experienced the transformation of the area since it became part of the National Park System in the 1940s.
